ACM Thanks to all who came and helped out at SalukiLan 2009! Because of you, we managed to pull in ~120 students at one point (96 IP addresses were active!), plus helped to foster interest in technology among students.
We were mentioned in the Daily Egyptian! (http://www.siude.com/news/technology-group-holds-first-public-event-1.1937719)

A final thanks to Benjamin Wasson, President of ACM for hosting registrations on his own server at http://www.salukilan.com, and for remaining dedicated and putting in so much of his time to make this event happen.
Thanks to everyone who came to Bowling Night last night. We had something like 20-25 people show up to take advantage of free bowling provided by ACM. Everyone had fun, and it was a blast.
Meetings will continue on Monday at 5PM in the Cambria room in the Student Center.

ACM at the RSO fair turned out to be a huge success! Thanks to Steffen, Chris W, Adam, Jacob, Kevin, Ben, and Sarah for helping with the booth. Special thanks to all the students who came and attended the booth!
We got somewhere around 20-30 students interested in ACM and SalukiLan, from a variety of majors, ranging from CS/ECE/IST to Mechanical Engineering and Philosophy.
Many students expressed interest in SalukiLan; the preregistration system is in place and online at http://www.salukilan.com. The table system currently in place is not finalized, and is subject to change. This will not affect your preregistration in any way, but will affect where your reserved LAN Party seat is, so check back later to verify you are sitting where you want to be.
Other news: Thermaltake is onboard for SalukiLan, as is Alienware. SIUC ACM is also in the process of setting up a dedicated Listserv mailing list for members and officers; more details on that will be posted later in the week.
If you are a CS major and interested in learning more about ACM, please attend the CS Orientations on September 2 (undergrad) or September 3 (grad) at 4:30PM in the Business Incubator.
Otherwise, feel free to attend any of our meetings, which are held on Mondays @ 5PM in Morris Library 510A.
