for anyone who needs a linux distro for the class or simply wants to try it out i have a live disc of ubuntu 8.10 (i think the current version is 9.10) that im willing to share. i can also provide help with anyone wanting to dual boot their system (or tri-boot for kicks n giggles)

I used to be a distributor for Ubuntu, so I have a bag of 8.10 discs somewhere. if you guys get the SiG Linux going let me know and I'll donate that.

I also use kubuntu (Ubuntu running KDE) on my machines and can help with disks and dual-booting as well. If anyone wants to try out KDE let me know.

I have disks for ubuntu, fedora10, and mandriva. so if anyone wants a copy i can get one to you so you don't have to download it or order it yourself

I have isos of Slackware 12.2, and will be getting 13.0 shortly.

Also have DVD iso of Fedora 11 if anyone is interested.

Also have some random old versions of Linux lying around, but they're from 1-2 years back so I hardly think they would be supported/stable now. XD

I've got some old versions of Redhat (8.0) and fedora (6.0 i believe) if anyone wants them. I've also got several version of ubuntu (7.04 server, 7.10 desktop, 7.10 server, 8.04 desktop) if anyone needs them.

i've used wine, some programs aren't supported tho. if its on this list
